When I went to study abroad in Prague last year, I had the option to buy a gym membership for the semester or an acoustic guitar... I chose the latter. Every time I felt obligated to work-out, I had the perfect excuse to practice guitar instead. Later on, around late October of 2017 I put together the shells of my first few songs. I found writing songs was a really nice way to get my thoughts out into a fun project. I couldn't stop writing and have accumulated a lot of material since then. Skip forward to February 2018, I had begun practicing my own songs and wanted to check out some open mics around Madison. I asked my roommate to join me in watching one to feel it out and he responded by asking me if I was going to bring my guitar! I went for it and haven't stopped performing since. I've been holding myself to making it to at least 2 performances a week, open mic or other, all while re-recording my material built up in my phone. In less than a year since I've begun I've had the honor of playing live shows at the Sett, Memorial Union, and WSUM 91.7 FM here in Madison. I'm dedicating more of my time to recording and mixing demo tracks from my bedroom for the time being while still fitting in time each week to perform! I'm excited to continue to record and perform in the months to come!
